Michael Papps
Michael came to the club in 2009 and quickly found form. In the SNCL Michael scored 771 runs @ 70 in just 14 games and took 15 wickets. In 2010 Michael returned to the club and scored over a 1,000 runs @ 91.54 and took 16 wickets to help the club back into the Scottish National Premier League. 2011saw Michael return to the club for his third season on the bounce where again his performance in the league with 949 runs @ 118.62 and 13 wickets were a large factor in the club maintaining its position amongst the best teams in the country. The runs and wickets that Michael has contributed over the last 3 seasons has made him the most valuable player in club cricket.

Matt Horne
Ayr were lucky to have the services of Matt during the 2004 season until the season of 2008. During his time at the club Matt was an asset both on and off the field. In 81 games, he scored 3543 runs at 56.23, hitting 10 centuries and 19 fifties, with a top score of 158. He also took 102 wickets at 17.55, with a best bowling return of 4-7 against Greenock, and held onto 39 catches. Matt was instrumental in developing the junior section and bringing through talented youngsters, a number of whom are now senior team regulars.
